lessons from Business 101

Early in my business development, I learned that business was all about relationships. And relationships were built out of simple conversations. What we all want is more quality conversations that we can build into relationships that begin to generate revenues. This On-line Social Networking thing is just that. A tool that will generate conversation. What’s important is what I learned so many years ago. Every conversation needs to be addressed with the hopes that it will build a relationship that will generate revenue. So… Every time someone replies to your discussion, comment, blog post, etc., it is critical that you reply in some way, even if it’s a short note. You never know when that ‘nugget’ of conversation will finance your new Porsche.
